Vocational Training in Morocco
What is vocational Training? Vocational training is education or training that prepares you for the workplace. You are trained to perform the day-to-day duties that you will be doing in your specific trade, craft, profession, or role. You are equipped with real skills, as opposed to theoretical knowledge only. Formal education in Morocco does not offer vocational training. You cannot start vocational training at secondary school level as is the case in some other countries. You need to join special centers to receive such training. Vocational training in Morocco has traditionally been associated with failure at school. Those who could not continue their primary and secondary studies joined one of the vocational training centers. Over the last few years, the government has tried to change this image to encourage more students to opt for vocational training instead of the already overcrowded open-access public higher education institutions.
