Overview

   What type of Bachelor’s can I pursue in Morocco?  
Two types of Bachelor’s programs are available:  1. Bachelor’s  2. Professional bachelor’s

   1. Bachelor’s   

The basic (general) bachelor’s helps students acquire academic (theoretical) knowledge that would allow them to sit for entrance exams into some schools/institutes or to pursue their studies into the master’s or doctorate cycles.

   What is the duration of a bachelor’s?  
1 year (2 semesters) is the duration of a bachelor’s program.

   What are the access requirements?  
To hold a DEUG* degree.

   What is the nature of a bachelor’s program?   
The bachelor’s starts off as a general program but gets specialized gradually and students are able to choose to specialize in one of the avaiable courses of study (options).

   2. Professional Bachelor’s   
The professional (vocational) bachelor’s helps students acquire practical skills that would allow them to enter the job market immediately, to sit for entrance exams into some schools/institutes or to pursue their studies into the (specialized) master’s or doctorate cycles.

   What is the duration of a professional bachelor’s?  
[1 year] is the duration of a professional bachelor’s program.

   What are the access requirements?  
To hold a DEUG* degree with a certain distinction/grade and to meet the conditions set by individual bachelor’s program committees.  Admission to the program is often decided upon a a review of the student’s application file and an interview.

   What is the nature of a professional bachelor’s program?  
The professional bachelor’s program is specialized throughout.

*(DEUG = diplôme d’études universitaires générales), a degree earned on completion of the first two years of study at university.
