Hello Dr. Hassan Bouzidi and his team.

I am very pleased to come across your project online. Morocco Academia deserves such a platform to connect various actors in the academic sector. I am pretty sure this type of website will help Moroccan students to connect with others for a  better research within academia.

Wishing you all the best.

Brahim.

I seek your advice on contact with Morocco’s academic institutions that offer studies in creative disciplines.  Feel free to forward this request to relevant individuals.

I will be coming to Morocco either late March or October. Hence I wish to introduce myself to explore synergies and your interest in my creative, academic or consulting experience as well as my Imagination Workshops.

After some years around the world, presenting, launching projects, programs and schools devoted to creative art, design and media, I am now in UAE aiming to probe opportunities in the Middle East and Africa.

In my artistic career I created many projects internationally awarded for their originality, innovative, imaginative design, concepts or metamorphic storytelling.

Whilst conducting my “Imagination Workshops” around the world, with my academic contracts in the US, Singapore, Turkey, Japan and China concluded, I now seek to contribute my considerable global experience, mentoring and interdisciplinary ideation to creative or academic initiatives which inspire creative expression while probing its relation to global contrasts as well as synergies.

Attached is my brief bio. Given your interest I can also forward my Vitae, creative folio, References or the Imagination Workshops folio of art, designs and simplistic sketches created by interdisciplinary international mentorees in film, animation, art, media, game, interactive design, coding, IT PhD scholars, teachers and professionals from diverse cultures and political milieus.

Overcrowding is due to a shortage of tutors, especially after the departure of many faculty under the “Voluntary Departure” scheme, which left a lot of departments without the necessary human resources and had a drastic impact on teacher/student ratios. We can always try to bring back some of those who left by giving them incentives.

The decision recently taken by the Ministry of Higher Education, which allows universities to recruit PhD students (in their second year of research) as teaching assistants may well contribute to alleviating the problem of overcrowding. Provided those “teaching assistants” are allowed to stay on as full-time teachers at the end of their 3-year term.

I am Mouhssine Echcharfy, Doctoral student at Chouaib Doukkali University. I am writing to kindly ask you to distribute a questionnaire to university professors who have taught culture course at the university.

Please find below the link to the questionnaire.

Please if the teachers are willing to be interviewed, they can state it in their reply email. The interview will take approximately 10-15 minutes via a phone call.

To solve the problem of overcrowding, new Universities will need to be built. Adding new classrooms here and there and soliciting the help of teaching assistants from outside the university are make-shift, short-term approaches and would not solve the problem any time soon.

Why are the holidays in higher education not synchronized with those in primary school?  Doing so would save academics having to bring kids on campus because they cannot find (or cannot afford!) a baby-sitter.

One of the most effective ways of dealing with overcrowding is to make use of modern technology. Courses can be recorded in the form of moocs, for example, and made available on the internet for students to access without having to be physically present on campus, especially for those living in remote areas of the country.
